A slide show may be converted to a web page in just a few simple steps using the Microsoft Office suite’s PowerPoint application.
PowerPoint slide shows converted to web pages lose some functionality, such as animated graphics and text. However, converting a slide show to a web page is very useful for sharing presentation materials in a manageable medium over the web.
- Open the slide show in the Microsoft PowerPoint application.
- Click the round Microsoft Office button in the top left corner of the PowerPoint interface.
- Click “Save As…”.
- Type a name for the converted presentation in the “File Name” input box.
- Select the “Web Page (.htm, .html)” option from the dropdown box labeled “Save as Type.”
- Click the “OK” button. The slide show presentation will save as a web page. The web page is included in an .htm file and in a folder including graphics and scripts.
- Double-click on the .htm file created, by saving the presentation as a web page to verify the slide show in a web browser.
