How to move desktop folder into D drive

Moving your desktop file into other drive, such as D drive, it has lots of benefits. For instance, when you reinstall XP, your desktop will keep the same as before.

go to C:Documents and Settingsyour username folderdesktop, move “Desktop” folder to anywhere you like to save.

P.S. You don’t need to change the registry for this change. The sytem will automatically point to the new place.

  1. My C drive partition is small. Instead of just moving the Desktop, would this method work if I want to move entire ‘your username folder’ to the D drive? Thanx in advance.
